Monday-Heroes and Peserverance

The topis of the week is Heroes and Perseverance. The word "heroes" led to a good discussion about irregular plural nouns (tooth>teeth, mouse>mice, man>men). It is confusing and there aren't rules to them so the students felt kinda confused. I asked them not to blame me, and they laughed. 

There is a new mosquito illness in town. It is called Zica and gives you a fever and rashy spots. A few our our students have it.

It was finally a sunny day in Maceio! 

For dinner, we went to the burger joint that had an interesting take on the basic burger combo. It was a burger with lettuce, tomato, an egg, and chopped up bacon, and a slice of ham- like lunch meat ham. It came with orange juice. No complaints though, it was cheap and hit the spot.
